  • advised in major foreign investment projects such as
    • the acquisition of the biggest national brewery by Athenian Brewery, a subsidiary of Heineken,
    • the acquisition of the biggest cement factory by Lafarge-Heracles General Cement Co.,
    • the privatization of the Savings Bank of Albania, the biggest second-tier bank,
    • the concession for Vjosa River for the building of a hydro power station.

Bulgaria

  • advised international bidders on
    • Bulgarian regulatory and contractual issues in connection with their acquisition of interest in the two major Bulgarian energy sector investment projects,
    • the building of a new thermo-power plant Maritsa East I and the rehabilitation of the existing thermo-power plant Maritsa East III.

Croatia

  • DTB advised American investment fund WP Carey in the sale and lease-back transaction to leading private owned company in Croatia. The value of the deal is EUR 70 million.
  • DT&B acted forAllianz AG in tender process for acquisition of leading Croatian insurer;
  • DTB advised Croatian Telekom (majority owned by Deutsche Telekom) in acquisition of leading Croatian IT- integrating firm COMBIS Ltd. The value of the deal is € 30 million. The deal is groundbreaking step of the biggest telecom in Croatia into a new market of IT systems integrations with intention to provide unique telecom and IT service to business customers and governmental bodies.
  • DTB advised world-leading engineering group ABB (Asea, Brown, Boveri) in acquisition of business of the leading Croatian engineering group Exor, a top 100 exporter of services in whole country. The value of the deal is € 15 million. The deal will make ABB as the biggest and most important engineering group in the region (overtaking such position from Siemens).

  • advised in the largest foreign investment in Macedonia – the acquisition of a majority stake in Macedonian Telecom,
  • advised the EBRD in the privatization of two banks
  • advised Duferco SA from Switzerland in the acquisition of a majority stake in the steel mill in Skopje – Makstil AD Skopje,
  • advised FHL Kiriakidis Marbles SA from Greece in the acquisition of Mermeren Kombinat AD Prilep,
