Bulgaria

  • represented a major foreign bank in litigation against a private Bulgarian bank – the claim exceeded EUR 4 million,
  • advised one of the largest multinational companies investing in Bulgaria in patent infringement proceedings,
  • successfully defended the rights and interests of the American investor Home Dynamix in the largest Bulgarian carpet maker Decotex AD - a landmark case in Bulgaria,
  • represented over 40 corporate clients in solving their labour disputes,
  • assisted a foreign bank in litigation against a local company.

R. Macedonia

  • established litigation practice in civil and criminal cases,
  • defended more than 1,000 criminal cases,
  • Nikola Polenak is appointed a judge in the Permanent Court of Arbitration in Hague.

Romania

  • advise on commercial, tax, customs duties, and real estate litigation and arbitration,
  • acted for major banks in litigation regarding loan recovery, security and custody matters,
  • specialise increasingly in labour litigation,
  • represent clients in dispute resolutions with various institutions such as
    • the Romanian Ministry of Finance,
    • Romanian National Bank,
    • General Customs Authority.
  • represented a domestic client in two arbitrations under ICC rules in Zurich.
